Dancing Bear

Today is Paul’s birthday but this week is also special because {after some delay} this is Paul’s last week working full time as a graphic designer–he will be switching over to full time painter. This morning I borrowed Karisa’s bear costume and Brooke’s boom box and then hired a break dancer I found on Craigslist to give him a little birthday surprise. {His name is Charles and if you need an awesome dancer you should email him: kinyon007(at)hotmail.com}. Here is the link on youtube if the video below doesn’t work.

If I was a man and living in SF, I’d come try to steal you away! Obviously I’d have no success, because only true love results in breakdancing bears. So awesome.

That’s awesome. (Don’t get me wrong I’d be totally perplexed/mortified if it happened to me, as would be my husband.)
Is it funny that I thought you were planning on wearing the bear costume? And just planned on showing up with a break dancer in plain clothes?

Love means hiring a break dancer to wear a bear costume, carry green balloons, and perform for your husband. If that’s being in love, I want to be in love!

So cute. And a bit quirky. In a good way.

    March 18, 2009

That was hilarious. I don’t know if my husband’s office would be so welcoming to a break dancing bear in the middle of the workday (engineers).

  39. Panga

    March 18, 2009

Paul’s office must be so happy he’s leaving. How obnoxious is it to have a dancing bear come to the office. Talk about unprofessional.

Pish Posh Panga, it is awesome! I am sticking that in my “steal from Jordan” bank to use on my husband one day. He is an attorney and they could use a little life and fun in their office! Everyone likes to laugh!

I’m impressed by the dance moves performed with that bear head on.
