Cakeplates for Sale

When I got married I bought 40 milk glass cakeplates. I really really love them and it is hard for me to do this but I’m finally selling some of them. {I agreed to sell all the goodies I have in storage in exchange for decorating the house. My blog might appear similar to a tag sale during the next few weeks.} I’m going to try to sell most of them locally first so I don’t have to mess with shipping. You won’t find them cheaper than this.

{UPDATE: Thanks everybody, the cake stands are sold. I wish I had enough for everyone.}

    Oh how beautiful. I just bought my first cakeplate the other day to make a cake for my husbands birthday on the 2nd. He helped me bring in the shopping bags and accidentally dropped the bag with the cakeplate. Oh I was so upset, but knew it was an accident. If you have any left over let me know. I’ll pay for shipping.

    Am I the only one who is stunned that $100 was paid for some of these cakeplates here? And that FORTY of them were purchased? And that there are 30 people willing to buy a used cakeplate for $49? Your grandmother probably has a look-alike in the back of her cupboard she’d give you for free.

  • Molly says:

    let me know if they don’t sell local.

    I think maybe loving Jordan is a big part of the charm … It’s not just any cake plate, but rather a token reminder of the lovely spirit who brings joy into my home every day. I don’t even know Jordan personally, but I am deeply grateful that she shares her thoughts with me even so.

  • jordan says:

    Who spent $100 on a cakestand?

    I am really interested too! I live in UT, and I love the plain white ones, one in each size. If you could email me, I would love it!

  • lamb411 says:

    where did you originally purchase the cake stands? I have been searching for simple stands for quite some time now. Are there any mainstream retailers who sell or did you go the antique shop/garage sale route?
