Cakeplates for Sale
When I got married I bought 40 milk glass cakeplates. I really really love them and it is hard for me to do this but I’m finally selling some of them. {I agreed to sell all the goodies I have in storage in exchange for decorating the house. My blog might appear similar to a tag sale during the next few weeks.} I’m going to try to sell most of them locally first so I don’t have to mess with shipping. You won’t find them cheaper than this.
{UPDATE: Thanks everybody, the cake stands are sold. I wish I had enough for everyone.}

They are so beautiful! They’ll be gone in a heartbeat.
I REALLY REALLY REALLY want the green hobnob cake plate….let me know if they don’t sell local, I know it’s a headache to try and ship…but I’ll keep my fingers crossed…
wow… very tempted to have a sf friend do my bidding for me.
also… i’m so curious to know how you used them at your wedding. do you have any photos?!
This picture is from my wedding.
Gorgeous cake plates! I wish I wouldn’t have already made my centerpieces or I would snatch these right up!
Oh man, why do I not live close enough to snatch them all up.
I am kind of hoping you have to mess with shipping. I want one.
If they don’t sell locally and you decide to ship them, I will buy some.
They are all so beautiful. Please add me to the list of those interested if they do not sell locally.
if you can’t find enough local buyers, please let me know! i would really like to add a few more to my collection. thanks!
I am wishing, with every fiber of my being, that I was local. Those things are lovely, and I hope they all find happy homes!
Me too, would love to buy if you’re willing to ship to WA.
Btw – I’m a lurker, sorry! I found your blog through somebody else’s and don’t remember who. Anyway, we’re using your tissue flowers for our ward’s Spring Fling dance next weekend!
Thank you for the inspiration!
Jordan, these are pretty sicky sweet. If you have any left when i come out for SF i might just have to buy some from you.

I’d buy the lot if it wouldn’t cost me my marriage. What a cool idea!

Oh how beautiful. I just bought my first cakeplate the other day to make a cake for my husbands birthday on the 2nd. He helped me bring in the shopping bags and accidentally dropped the bag with the cakeplate. Oh I was so upset, but knew it was an accident. If you have any left over let me know. I’ll pay for shipping.
Those green ones caught my eye immediately! Gorgeous colors!
I’m in Salt Lake and I too want one…let me know if you’d be willing to ship.
I’m local and I want one!
those are beautiful!
so sad you have to part with them.
ditto on the shipping – I’d love one, but am no where near San Fran. Let us know if you decide to ship.
I love cake plates. There is something about them…they’re playful and sophisticated at the same time.
i’m not even in the same continent!
I wouldn’t mind buying any of them..
I love the white ones…I’ll buy a couple if they don’t sell and I have a Fed Ex acct., so it wouldn’t be that hard to ship them.
RI needs some too.
Wish I lived in San Fran…
I especially love the green ones.
please let us know when you are ready to start shipping them!!! they are all so adorable!
Am I the only one who is stunned that $100 was paid for some of these cakeplates here? And that FORTY of them were purchased? And that there are 30 people willing to buy a used cakeplate for $49? Your grandmother probably has a look-alike in the back of her cupboard she’d give you for free.
let me know if they don’t sell local.

has anyone ever been to a thrift store? you dont have to pay an arm and a leg for vintage these days, come on.
I think maybe loving Jordan is a big part of the charm … It’s not just any cake plate, but rather a token reminder of the lovely spirit who brings joy into my home every day. I don’t even know Jordan personally, but I am deeply grateful that she shares her thoughts with me even so.
Who spent $100 on a cakestand?
I am really interested too! I live in UT, and I love the plain white ones, one in each size. If you could email me, I would love it!
DON’T feel bad for charging $$. it must be sad to let them go. and plus.come on..you need mad cash to redecorate!!we should be DONATING to the jordanjar for all your fabulous ideas. ha.
Ladies, I sell those cake stands at my store and we ship nationally. They are gorgeous!!
wonderful paul wouldnt let you have it all?
where did you originally purchase the cake stands? I have been searching for simple stands for quite some time now. Are there any mainstream retailers who sell or did you go the antique shop/garage sale route?
