Build a "weekend home" in four days
In Domino this month they had an article about that awesome lady thats always doing stuff. {Remember the one that went to flower school in France and went to house keeping school last month?} Well this time around she built a little getaway house in 4 days. The supplies for the whole thing cost around $10,000. What I love about this is although it is a meager 144 square feet and has no running water. It is a wonderful little space that only costs $10,000 plus the cost of land. I would love to get a little space an hour north of the city near some redwoods and put one of these up for a weekend getaway. I especially love the second picture where you can see a bit of the view and that fantastic patio fireplace. See Shelter Kit’s site for more info.

Oooo….I want that cabin so badly!
Who would have thought to put one of those fabulous, bright-colored fireplaces OUTside? Brilliant!
