Peanut Bunny Favors DIY

There’s not much cuter than a little creature made out of a peanut.  Nestled in their beds of green grass,  these charming little Easter bunnies will guard the candies hidden inside. And would you believe that fluffy grass is made out of a green paper napkin!!

Materials needed: peanuts, white paint, pink and black markers, white construction paper, scissors, pom poms, glue, green napkin (or tissue paper), paper mache boxes, white or gold thread

Step 1: Paint peanut white. Let dry.
Step 2: Out of white construction paper, cut out ears approx. 1″ x 1/4.”
Step 3: Color in pink insides of ears.
Step 4: Fold edge 1/8″ up. Dab with glue, and affix to peanut bunny. Hold for 6 seconds until glue sets. (If you are making an upright bunny, no need to fold back the paper ear – just glue it straight onto the peanut).
Step 5: Loop 2″ thread around fingers 4 or 5 times.
Step 6: Tie knot in center of loops. Cut edges off for whiskers.
Step 7: Dab on a dot of glue, and affix whiskers to peanut bunny.
Step 8: Dot on two little black eyes with black marker.
Step 9: Glue on pom pom tail.
Step 10:  Cut 1″ strips of napkin and fold lengthwise in half.
Step 11: Cut fringe into the green napkin or tissue paper.
Step 12: Apply glue to surface of box top, and gently attach fringe. Repeat until surface of top is covered.
Step 13: Arrange bunnies, apply glue to underside off peanut and secure. If you want, make little carrots out of play dough and scraps of boxwood ribbon.

You are always coming up with the most creative projects. I have so many ideas for when I have this baby! So excited and inspired. I do think I should do something cute for my husband for Easter…I know he would appreciate it…anything with a treat inside. Beautiful!

These are SO cute. I love little boxes and containers like this. They make me really happy. Idk why. I love decorating them too (I like making care packages for people). These are such a work of art though, omg.
