Picnics are the best thing about summer except maybe for popsicles. We eat outside a lot but we made some more official picnic dinners the last few weeks and it was fun. A few summers ago we started keeping a beach kit in our car. It’s basically a bag that has all the basic stuff you need for a spur of the moment beach day. The idea is that if you find yourself having a beautiful day and realize you have a few hours to kill you can head right to the beach, no planning involved.
