Spider Web Cake Topper DIY

by Chiara Alberetti Milott

Did you know it only takes an hour for a spider to spin a web? That’s about how long it takes to create this simple cake topper using just a sheet of paper. Then attach a plastic spider for the final touch.  Make sure your guests do not get caught in your web when you serve them cake!

Pom Pom Bat Cupcake Toppers DIY

by Chiara Alberetti Milott

I know, I know – normally you’re aiming for ‘spooky’ or ‘scary’ when it comes to Halloween decorations. But if you’re looking for something a little, well, cuter – then look no further. These bat toppers are just so cute!  A few black pom poms, paper and toothpicks and you’re all set. Bonus points for using a craft punch that usually only sees action during the winter holidays!

Party Clock Invitation DIY

by Sally J Shim

I love a good pun and this Party Clock Invitation DIY will let the recipient know it is time for a fun celebration. You can customize the text on the invitation to reflect the type of party you are throwing, whether it is a birthday party, housewarming party, or baby shower. Try cutting a circle from patterned paper if you want a bit more pattern and color on your invitation. If there are important details that will not fit on the front of the invitation, print it on the back of the invitation.

Mid Century Straw Decor

by Kathleen Ballos

I love looking at mid century design for craft ideas – these hanging stars were inspired by the popular starburst and atomic patterns. Made of straws, these decorations are super quick (and affordable!) to make. And check out more retro party projects!
