Invitations

Invitations are so important! It’s how you tell people how great your party is going to be. Here are some of our favorite invitation inspiration.

New Party Projects

I have two projects I’m trying to finish up before I start packing my suitcase. I am printing up invitations for a friend’s baby shower and I am designing some labels and tags for a friend’s thirtieth birthday party. Here is sneak peek at the shower invitations. {I’ll post pictures of the completed products later.} I think my favorite thing to work on is party collateral.

Church Spring Party 2008

This year we did a birthday theme. Here is the flyer for the event. {We put it together real quick but it turned out cute.}

The tablecloths the church owns are red so our color palette options are a little limited. We tied a red balloon on every chair and then I made a bunch of different party hats. Everyone looked so cute and festive in their hats. We also set up a little backdrop with a few props and had people get their pictures taken in front of it. It was a lovely night. {Thank you to Brooke and Christian for babysitting!} Total cost of decorating supplies: $60. The main costs were renting a small helium tank and paper goods.

Garland Invitations

These are wonderful garland invites from LovelyDesign via Marta.

Shower

My dear friends Pepper and Michelle are throwing me an intimate little shower with a few friends. Here is a picture of the darling invitations they made. {The little label had the invitee’s name.}

Ink

I was helping my friend put together some shower invitations and I pulled out my pens and ink to test colors for addressing. My favorite ink is J. Herbin because it comes in these cute little silver canisters. I buy mine at the Flax down the street.
