Home Decor

The only thing we like as much as parties is a pretty room. See our favorite home decor ideas and tips and tricks right here like how we turned a walk in closet into a bedroom for our two sons. Or how we decorated our temporary Paris apartment on the cheap.

Kelly Wearstler’s New Blog

I think seeing people’s workspaces and seeing how they work is so inspiring. Kelly Wearstler has a new blog and it shows pictures of her studio and her “vibe trays” where she can work out the feeling of a room she is designing. (Also that painting on the wall behind her is ah-mazing.)

Andy and Kate Spade’s House by Todd Selby

I’ve been thinking about these pictures all weekend. All that art!

Interiors I’m Inspired by Recently

I love all the color in this photo. And I like that it would be hard to put a label on this style. The painting looks vintage and the patterns on the blanket look modern and the side table is cute but in a plain ugly sort of way. I love the whole thing.

This photo but especially Sara Hicks Malone’s whole house tour on Decor8 is pretty much perfect. It feels modern but so colorful and cozy. Very inspiring.

This wallpaper and color combination from Lonny is so great. I love the pattern on the rug and on the wallpaper and all the pops of color, everything works so well.

This entryway is from a Design Sponge Sneak Peek. I love the color of the wallpaper with the simple black dresser and the pop of the yellow lamp. Also, everything that is going on with the mirror and blue lamp is a good thing.

Sponsored Post: Fawn & Forest

This is the most beautiful rocker in the whole world. Jenny sent it last year as one of many options when she was helping me set up a corner of my bedroom like a little nursery. I knew I wouldn’t be able to breastfeed Roman but I still wanted a cozy little space where I could feed him. At first I didn’t even consider this rocker because it was out of my price range but I was able to arrange a trade with the lovely Fawn & Forest so that I could purchase it. I love the lines on it and the skirt and it is a super cozy and comfy rocker. It was perfect for our city apartment because it has a smaller footprint than most rockers. And now we keep it in the living room as glam lazyboy. They didn’t have this rocker at the time but I’m kind of in love with it too.

I love Fawn & Forest for lots of reasons but mostly because I think they have the best selection of kids gear of anyone. Plus I love that it is run by a small family like mine (Seriously, they’re my age.).

Inspired by Inspiration Boards

I love this round up of inspiration boards as art from Canadian House and Home. I like the idea of using them as art in part of your home. On a related note: I want that settee.
