Did you know that there is a specific material assigned to each year of marriage? I thought it would be fun to use the list as inspiration for DIY anniversary gift packages. For this post I focused on paper (1 year), wood (5 years), and silver (25 years) but wouldn’t fruit & flowers (4 years), cotton (2 years), and lace (13 years) be fun to do as well? It’s a lot of fun coming up with creative and affordable ideas to fill each package – let us know if there are any other cute gifts to include!

Are you one of those people who’s already finished all their holiday shopping? If not, you should check out Pear Tree Greetings. I’ve worked with them before to design our family Christmas cards and Valentines cards for the kids. This year, they approached me about designing custom gifts from their site. I really loved all the options for phone covers, so I ordered a bunch that featured photos from my Instagram account. Once I found a template I liked, the whole process literally took me less than 10 minutes. The cases are easy to customize – you can add words, change the fonts, or use multiple photos. I got them in the mail a week later and was really happy with the awesome quality! I can’t wait to share them with my friends. Have you ever made custom gifts before?

What are you getting your mom for Mother’s Day? If you’ve waited until the last minute, don’t worry! There are tons of great gift options online. I found all the gifts below using Chippmunk – my favorite site for online deals. They also have tons of fantastic deals on flowers and chocolates! Normally, I wouldn’t think to use a coupon when buying gifts, but I’ve realized that saving money allows me to add a few more items to the cart and spoil the ones I love. Make sure you don’t miss their online deals at Rifle Paper Co., J.Crew, Teleflora, & Dean & Deluca!
