Free Printable: Mom Tatts

By Amanda Jane Jones

It’s Mother’s Day week! And if your mom has a fun sense of humor these printable tattoos might be the perfect thing to add to her day. Just order this tattoo paper, download the PDF and print! They are super easy to make and we had SO much fun putting them on. Just remember to put the letters on right side up! Unfortunately we turned the B upside down on our first try. Ooops!

Styled Eats: DIY Picnic Baskets and Free Printable

Thank you COOL WHIP for sponsoring this post. Join us on Facebook for inspiration and recipes for everyday treats. What you add makes it. #coolwhipmoms

This is the next post in my new series Styled Eats that focuses on how to package and make food pretty. This brilliant DIY picnic basket is the work of Alexis Birkmeyer. The materials to make this are really simple. Here we used an extra heavy butcher paper but you could even use poster board or a flexible cardstock. You just trace the template, cut it out and fold. So easy! If you wanted to use these for a bigger party I would call together some friends to help make them. These are a special detail that you can add when you are entertaining but they don’t feel fussy or too precious. Find the full instructions and more photos below.

Free Printable: Around the Clock Shower Invite

By Amanda Jane Jones

Whoever invented the “Around the Clock Bridal Shower” deserves a high five. Such a good idea! Each guest receives an invitation with either Breakfast—8am, Lunch—noon, Dinner—5pm and “Dessert”—10pm. They then purchase a gift according to their assigned time/meal. It makes sure all your bases are covered…a bit of practical and a bit of fun!

Instructions: 1) Download the free printable below and print out each invite. If you so choose, you can print the stripes on the back. Who doesn’t love some extra stripes?!? 2) Cut out and fold in half. Easy!

DIY Paper Flower Cone Bouquets

by Brittany Watson Jepsen

Are you a cone or cup person? I was usually a cup type of girl myself (save a few calories? why not!) But why eat them at all when you can use them as a vase and pass on feeling the guilt. Now, that’s my type of treat. These paper flower ice cream cone bouquets would be perfect for birthday parties, a good cheer up, or just the floral/ice cream lover like myself.

Materials: ice cream cone (waffle or sugar), x-acto knife, glue gun, cutting board, scissors, skewers about 3-4″ long, garden pot  2″ in diamter(optional to be used as stand), bright colored paper for flowers, green paper for leaves, striped paper for cone covers (free download here)

Valentine Surprise Box — Free Printable

By Amanda Jane Jones

I love boxes…all shapes, all sizes…colors, patterns…you name it I probably love it. For Valentines Day, I thought it would be fun to design some custom boxes you can print off and make from home. They are a great way to dress up your small gifts or party favors for February 14th.

How To: Get some plain white card-stock and print the template from the link below. Fold along each edge (tabs included). Then use a glue stick to attach the tabs to the inside of your box. Let your box dry for a minute or two before filling with goodies. Enjoy!
