I’m not always perfect at remembering the birthdays I should remember, so it’s nice to send out a little note to friends and family who live far away when it’s not their birthday or a major holiday. A great excuse to keep in touch is coming up on March 12: Plant a Flower Day! Take advantage of this awesome holiday by sending cards adorned with a flower made out of seed paper. When planted, the seeds inside the paper will bloom into real wildflowers. Even if winter isn’t over yet, these cards feel like spring!

I love having pretty taper candles around in great colors – they add such romance and ambiance to special occasions. This Valentine-themed paper wreath with scalloped leaves and heart shaped flowers is a great way to display them during a romantic dinner.

They used to have this giant paper tree at my favorite store Tail of the Yak as one of their store displays (they’ve since changed it) but I love the idea of making a paper flower tree for a shower or party. It fits perfect for spring. We made one and I loved it so much I’ve kept it on my desk. It would be cute to go with these: Painted Paper Flower Hats for a bridal or baby shower or a really fun birthday party. (ps: Screensaver is from Door 16.)
