Spinning Carousel Centerpiece

by Kathleen Ballos

Lately I’ve been super inspired by circuses and carnivals, so when I saw these mini horse figurines I couldn’t help but make a mini carousel to match. This carousel is not only a decorative centrepiece – it actually spins too! If you’re hosting a circus party, there are no shortage of fun projects for you to do: try these cotton candy invitationscircus party hats, & carnival cake toppers!

Sandcastle Place Cards

by Kathleen Ballos

Remember the mini Putz houses that you see in the winter time? Well that’s what inspired these glittering sandcastle place cards! Eating picnic snacks was one of my favorite things about going to the beach when I was younger – if you’re not close to the water, wouldn’t it be fun to host a beach picnic party indoors? And if you’re looking for more miniature beach party supplies, try these beach cake toppers!

Giant Paper Bead Garland

by Ashley Page Norton

I love making simple necklaces out of beads (evidence here) and often have my crafty friends over to work on jewelry projects. This garland would be perfect decor for a jewelry crafternoon but it’s so bright and graphic it could work for just about anything. These mega versions of my favorite seed beads come together quickly using whatever paper you have on hand. If you love stringing beads together this will be right up your alley!

Bubble Relay Race

We hosted a “Welcome Summer”party a few weeks ago as part of a Quaker Chewy campaign. I already shared a post about the Color Fight and today I’m sharing photos from our bubble relay race. We split all the kids into teams and had them race across the grass doing the crab walk. The twist is I set up 4 bubble machines to create a giant tunnel of bubbles to race through. After the races in turned into the kids just chasing bubbles around (the little ones got a little distracted-ha!) Don’t miss my Sister Design Mom’s post & My Sister in Law Say Yes’ post too!
