Bah Humbug

I love the holidays. Almost every year we get our tree the day after Thanksgiving and the month of November is spent Christmas shopping. This year I have so much going on that I haven’t even thought about it. And what’s worse–the thought of decorating a tree sounds like a burden. We are having some small life changing events going on around here and I’m trying to keep my head above water {no, I’m not pregnant–it’s good news, more details later}. In the mean time if you need ideas please refer to some of my posts from Christmases past when I wasn’t in such a funk.

Just an FYI, you can no longer purchase magazine subscriptions from ebay due to new rules. I used to get all of my magazines from there and never once had a problem! I guess the problem had to do with the fact that the comment period for feedback on a seller ended before subscriptions were received, so there was no way to accurately leave feedback on a seller. A few people took advantage of this.

Jordan! Do you have any good sources for Kraft Paper, for lovely wrapping? I’m in SF, so if you know where abouts I could get it locally, that would be great. It’s never in the stores I think it should be in, and it seems crazy to pay a ton for it.

I’m excited for your news 🙂

I hear ya on the tree decorating thing. I had no energy for it this year, so we opted for a lovely snow covered tree with pine cones that looks great on it’s own.

I feel the same way. I am one of those people that goes nuts decorating, and I’m just not into it this year. But I like hearing about other people’s ways of celebrating.

May your holidays be bright, if not tree-filled, dear Jordan. Maybe you need a little rosemary tree for sniffing. Thanks for all of the inspiration from years past.

I love pear decorations for Christmas. I truly regret not purchasing Martha Stewart’s “partridge in a pear tree” tree skirt years ago. I now live on a farm with a pear orchard, it would be perfect.

I’m thinking you either found a house or got a book deal. Do I win a prize if I’m right?

Jordan, do you know of a good place to buy the gloss white boxes in smaller qty’s. It looks like Papermart only sells by the case.
