Molding

Depending how long you plan on renting I am a big believer in making your space your own. Just because you rent doesn’t mean you shouldn’t invest time and money {within reason} into making your place beautiful and comfortable.

With our new apartment the landlord stops by often so I’m not sure I want to paint. I’ve been trying to figure out ways to decorate besides painting. I’m thinking about putting in molding to add structure to the space. It is a fairly painless process and could be removed easily. There is a nice HOW TO on Domino’s site.

I’ve been reading for a while and thought i’d finally comment and thank you for a lovely blog:)

I want to ask you for some design advice since you’re on the topic of rented apartments. I’ve been living in mine for almost a year, and it still doesn’t feel quite like “home.” I absolutely LOVED the photo of the bedroom you posted (from “Something Old, Something New”) and would like to use it as an inspiration as well, but I’m not able to do anything permanent to the walls…any suggestions?

Thanks again for all the pretty things!

I love this too. As a renter, I have the constant “is it ridiculous to make this much effort / spend this much on my place” battle. Fact is, I’m not buying anytime soon, so what the heck. If you showed your landlord paint colours, he might be okay with you painting?

I love your dinning room! very well done. I am trying to put up molding in my bedroom and have never heard of build pre-cut pieces, where can you order that from?

    Thanks a lot
