It’s so sad to me that that note was found. I wish I had been given it. I would’ve tucked into my favorite book for safe keeping. It’s even sadder if the person who wrote it never gave it to someone.

That is the most beautiful sentiment. It reminds me of something my dad used to say, I think he’d read it somewhere, but he would say whenever I would ask him for something I wanted, “with my last dollar, I will buy us bread and flowers.”
