Cheap Lighting

I’m in charge of the activities for the women’s group at church. I’ve been planning a big activity for the end of March. We only have a tiny budget so for decorations we are going to use these paper lanterns made out of paper bags. They are just paper bags turned inside of each other with a ribbon affixed.

I love this but I’m not sure I understand, will you put candles inside?

No candles inside. You can use big outdoor Christmas lights or just a traditional string of Chinese Lantern lights. Then just tape or wire the lights to the lantern.

    Hi,
Where in the world did you get this photo/idea from? Also, did you see what I wrote about Blueprint magazine becoming monthly?

Yeah, I saw your post about Blueprint. That is awesome.

I posted about the same idea last year. I’m not sure where I got the photo from. {I couldn’t find the credit.} It was a wedding magazine. Probably Martha Stewart.

My neighbors all do luminaries together Christmas Eve and one of them was telling me that they now have battery powered tea lights for sale at the dollar store, which would be fun to use for tons of church events since they never allow candles inside.
