{30 presents under $25} #4: Magazine Subscriptions $8

I did that monster post about magazine subscriptions on Ebay last August. This makes an excellent present. If you are going to buy them off ebay you should do it now. That way the subscription will arrive by January. When I give magazine subscriptions as a gift I buy the current copy at the supermarket and wrap that up with a note. Then they have something tangible to open.

Magazines also fit perfectly (taco-style) in a gift bag meant for a wine bottle. Then you can throw in something pertinent to the magazine subscription: gardening gloves for a gardening magazine, luggage tags for a travel magazine, bud vases or a candle for a decor magazine, pretty little soaps for a beauty magazine, etc. You can still easily keep it under $25. A bride/reception ideas magazine with a bag of chocolates to nibble while browsing make a great engagement gift, and you don’t even have to buy a subscription.
