If you are from St. George, Utah then you know all about Dixie Salad. {Ash reminded me of it here.} Dixie Salad is a regional dish from St. George. It is basically fruit salad and whip cream with a star ingredient: pomegranate seeds. I remember eating this every fall at church and school functions. Last night I made it and I made Paul eat it while listening to the longtime-Mayor of St. George sing our town theme song right here. {I really made him listen to it like three times while I marched around the room singing along.}
