Laundry and sundries

I just wanted to thank everyone that has been leaving comments. Its nice to know someone out there is reading this stuff. 🙂 I have been going a million miles an hour lately and I am happy that the only thing I have on my list to do tonight is laundry. This is no small task. Since laundry is such a pain to take to the laundromat we usually do it every two weeks. So we take down two large hampers full of towels sheets and dirty clothing and hike it over to the laundromat across the street. I make sure I have $20 in quarters and then do laundry for three hours. It takes forever and I dread it. If I’m really not in the mood Paul just does it by himself but he is painting tonight so that means its all me. The thing is normally I like doing laundry. I like laundry products. I love ironing. The problem is there isn’t a space to do it properly. The machines suck and you have to hang out the entire time so the homeless dudes don’t steal your underwear.

It just isn’t pleasant.

Please take the time today to appreciate your laundry machines.

{ps: Paul will you pick up the quarters on the way home from work?}

    I had to buy a washer and dryer at my last place because I absolutely refused to go to the laundromat. I hate it with ever fiber of my being.

    My sister loves to iron too. She’ll spend way too much time getting every little pleat perfect. It’s very cute.

    Amen to that. One time we went a month without going to do laundry b/c neither one of us wanted to go. (It gets much harder when you mulitply and replenish the earth.) I washed our underwear in the tub just so I didn’t have to go. Funny, though, they were actually whiter and cleaner.

    I know! I hate doing laundry… even worse I don’t have a car so I have to use a little market cart. Luckily the laundry is just three blocks away!

    I think Jordan’s love of ironing came about when she worked for Eddie and Doris Porter in St. George. Doris would have us iron all their clothes, including Eddie’s hankys and a pink sweatshirt she owned. I thought it was odd that she wanted me to iron her sweatshirt, to Jordan it just opened up a whole new world to her.
