Cake toppers – the icing on the icing on the cake! Dress up a pretty little cake with a reusable, easy-to-personalize, cake topper out of clay. You can play around with clay colors, stamps and stamp colors – the possibilities are endless!
Step 1: Tear off one strip of clay from the package. Roll it into a ball with your hands.
Step 2: Roll into a worm shape with your hands, then roll it out into a rectangle shape using a rolling tool (I used a small piece of PVC pipe).
Step 3: Trim the side and notch the ends to make a banner shape.
Step 4: Ink your stamp letters, then carefully impress the stamp into the clay.
Step 5: Cook in the oven according to the package directions (be careful not to overcook as the clay will darken). Let cool completely.
Step 6: Glue two cake pop sticks onto the backside of the banner using hot glue.
