Introducing Bright Lab

I’m so happy to introduce my new company…

Bright Lab Lights | brightlablights.com

Bright Lab! Bright Lab makes strings of customizable cotton lights. I started working on this project with some friends after unsuccessfully looking for a good US source and we’re so happy to finally be able to share them today. Seriously, this has been a long time coming! Bright Lab Lights come in 40 colors so you can completely customize every string for your room or party. Take a peek here, I’d love to know what you think.

    Great news!
But I cannot seem to find out how long the two different options are. 24 lights vs. 48 lights is less useful than how many inches/centimeters long they are.
Do you happen to know the lengths?
(I will keep digging through their site for the information!)

Sorry we are working on making it more clear. The 24 Ball strand is 5 ft with a 5 ft cord. The 48 Ball strand is 10ft with a 5 ft cord.

Yes! I first was introduced to the lights 10 years ago on a trip to Asia and then saw them again in Paris! I was so frustrated that there were no good US sources so we did it ourselves!

    August 12, 2014

These are awesome! I have just spent way too much time playing around with various colors and the randomizer. So much fun! As soon as I can decide on a color combo, I’m getting some!

  22. Joan

    August 12, 2014

There is a company like this in Europe as well. I’ve always wanted some of their lights, but they do not ship to the US. Now I have a solution!

I noticed you do not have Pinterest as a sharing option on the images above? Can I pin your photos on Pinterest? I’d love to share them 🙂

Can you explain how these differ from the ones in you boys room that you bought in Paris. I recall your saying those had a unique spiral cord design.

    August 12, 2014

Nice! Are you at all affiliated with Cable & Cotton? I purchased lights from them a while ago that look very similar to these. They also had a similar concept where you get to choose the number of lights and the color scheme.

Thank youuu. I can never find cool and custom string lights, in the states. Just what you said. Can’t wait to pick some out!

    August 12, 2014

What a great business idea! Love the randomizer! Would love to see a picture of the lit-up version of all the strings and/or individual colors. I have found that I don’t like some of my favorite colors when they are lit up.

    Hi Jordan!

Do the pictures here on your blog and on your Bright Lights website show the US light string? Can you add a picture to your website showing the strand uncoiled to the listing in the Spare Parts section?

I’ve bought many light strands from Cousin Paul over the years. The European lights run on a single strand while the US light strand is doubled over (and not as nice looking in my opinion).

The picture of the coiled strand in the Spare Parts section of your website looks like the cord is doubled over but the pictures of the light strings hanging up in various rooms on your website show a single strand.

    Thanks for clarifying!

The cord is a circle. The ones in the photos are all the same ones that are for sale.

  33. Ana

    August 12, 2014

I love them! Do you ship them internationally? I’m from Spain…

Congratulations on the new endeavor! They are so charming, and I adore all of the colors that are available. I can’t wait to take a closer look.

Wow! Just wonderful. I had to purchase mine from Thailand and it took weeks for them to arrive. I also saw some at Japan town but I felt that they were much too expensive, as they were an import. I’ve been using strands of lights for years in my homes, and I’m delighted that I can add these,
    for years to come.
    Cheers,
    Traci
