Don’t have time to pull together a big celebration for Mother’s Day this year? No problem, surprise her with this cute mini-party. This simple to make banner is perfect for small spaces. The floral bunches make great cupcake toppers & look great on place cards. This little party is sure to make any Mom feel appreciated. (PS – A Mother’s Day cake topper!)

Materials: Printable Mother’s Day Kit, 8.5 x 11 white card stock (I used Epson Ultra Premium Matte Presentation Paper), 1.25″ circle punch (1.5” works too if you want something bigger), scissors, tape, white string or bakers twine, toothpicks, cutting mat, glassine bag (extra).

Step 1: Print out the downloadable template on 8.5 x 11 white card stock.
Step 2: With the 1.25” circle punch, cut out all of the letters from the banner. Make sure the circle punch is upside down when punching so that you can align the letter in the center of the circle. The printable template allows for bleed.
Step 3: Cut 3 long pieces of twine or string (measure the area you will be hanging the banner in) then line up each row of the banner letters evenly centered over the length of the string (you can use a ruler or just eyeball it).
Step 4: Place a piece of tape (facing up) under the string where each letter aligns.
Step 5: Place letters on the tape. When all letters are attached turn over and secure with finger.
Step 6: Hang up banner!
Step 7: Cut out the flower bunches using scissors (or a craft knife) to embellish the banner, or tape (or glue) to toothpicks to make cupcake toppers . They also add a nice detail to place cards.
Step 8: If you don’t have time to set up a party, place all of the elements in a glassine bag to make a cute DIY party kit to assemble later!

    Love this…small and elegant.

Can I ask which printer you use? I can’t seem to get the same quality with my mine.

I actually jet finished making the banners, and they came out great and super cute! Thanks so much, my Mom will really love them! For anyone else who wants to make the banner, I didn’t have a circle punch at home, so scissors work just fine. Also, I couldn’t find any thick string or twine, so I used clear jewelry cord. Even though I didn’t use those two materials, the banners still came out really amazing! 🙂 x

I printed these out, and they’re quite small. Not tiny, but small. Definitely not as large as pictured. Maybe they were at 150–200% when printed? I’m still using the ones I printed though, I was just wondering how to get it up to that size…

Turns out I was out of coloured ink, so I coloured them in using crayons! It looks great.

Thank you for the printables and idea!

    Love, from India
