Last year I took Moses to get his first real haircut at a classic barbershop. (His first actual haircut was a buzz given without my permission by my brother who was babysitting him–but that is another story!) I brought my friend Aubrey Trinnaman along who photographed the whole thing. It’s just a small thing but I’m so happy to have these photos to document the little rites of passage. Plus the chops on the barber are pretty amazing. You can see more pictures right here.

My mom gave Clementine her first bath at home and I captured some adorable photos with my phone. My mom’s hands. Her jade ring. And Clemmy’s tiny 4-pound body.

as a momma myself I’m mortified at what your brother did (although I can totally see my own brother doing that too!) and completely loving that you documented your kiddo’s first real haircut. my Charlie is 1 and still has some time, but I’m so inspired by this I’m going to do the same when his time comes! thanks for sharing 🙂

my goodness. that little boy is ridiculously cute!! being a mother of two, i’m a sucker for little boys – especially with curly locks. when my boy’s hair gets so shaggy that it’s in desperate need of a trim I always go hesitantly because as handsome + grown up as they look with their new do’s it’s so hard to say goodbye to the baby boyish curls!
